Human Resources Intern

Are you a college student looking to add more to your resume than a list of courses and a mere GPA?  Are you excited by the idea of starting your career now, rather than waiting on your degree? Do you want all of this and to be paid for it?

Here at Virtual, our interns are thrown into a fun, fast-paced environment where they are taught to take their knowledge outside of the classroom and put their skills to use in the real world of business.  Our Human Resource Department specifically is a great introduction to the world of business.  Working together as a close-knit team, HR matches candidates with exciting new job opportunities, sends out regular acknowledgment and gifts to coworkers for their achievements, works closely with high-up managers of all departments for scheduling and assistance, and so much more.  

Our Internship Program is unique in that we encourage all of our interns to have a voice in the company and to learn and grow during your time with us through shadowing oppurtunities and taking part in cross-functional projects. You'll also get a chance to sit down with senior executives, learn about their background and dig a little deeper into how they got where they are today while they share advice on things that helped them along the way.

You will also be joining and socializing with a great group of interns just like you!



  • Records employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefits, training records, promotions and terminations
  • Updates employee files to document personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and other uses
  • Examines employee files to answer inquiries and provides information to authorized persons
  • Maintains basic knowledge of legal and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Assists in recruitment process; schedules candidates, maintains recruitment logs, resumes, job descriptions, scorecards and reports
  • Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Acts as training liaison; inputs training courses, maintains records and reports
  • Updates handbook and policy manuals, organizational charts, and HR related power point decks on an as-needed basis.
  • Be the face of the company while assisting the office manager with front desk coverage and be a line of contact for incoming calls
  • Show off your rockstar multi-tasking abilities by taking on different projects and tasks as needed

  • Possess knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be currently enrolled in college throughout entire internship period.
