WANTED: A collaborative team player with an eye for the fine details.  The Senior Program Manager needs to be a self-starter and have a track record of independently managing multiple projects and deadlines in a client-facing, technical environment. The Senior Program Manager leads Virtual's engagement in assigned client associations.  He/she is responsible for managing the day to day client services operations, client strategy and other functional staff resources deployed to the client team.  The Senior Program Manager may supervise staff.  



  • Facilitate client conference calls/face-to-face meetings; draft meeting minutes; document action items and follow up on action items.
  • Manage client budgets in collaboration with client and Virtual finance team.
  • Collaborate with Virtual Marketing and Communications team, oversee development and implementation of communication initiatives.
  • Work with the Virtual Events team to manage client events. Duties may include onsite event management.
  • Maintain program metrics and scorecard reporting.
  • Manage client internal and external website and databases.
  • Overall project management and support for all client services and company initiatives.
  • Assist with client website management both public and members only.
  • Overall project and program management for client services initiatives.
  • Ensure high level client customer service.
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Member benefit packages;
  • Orientation and/or certification of new members;
  • Membership renewals;
  • Recruitment of new members.
  • To plan and direct each stage of the membership development process;
  • Oversee the delivery of programs and development in accordance with client strategic plans including complex client activities and/or projects.
  • Guide association personnel such as volunteers, client members, Board Members and officers.
  • Contribute to the formulation of client policies, programs and procedures.  Make recommendations for future growth.
  • Management of Virtual internal staff/interns to include,
    • Training;
    • Coaching and professional development;
    • Additional administrative duties.



  • Bachelor's (B.A./B.S.) degree required;
  • 7 plus Years Account/Project/Program Manager experience in PR/Marketing/High-Tech/Consulting/Industry Association environment;
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills;
  • Program or project management skills;
  • Management and team leadership experience;
  • Detail-oriented, with effective organizational skills, including strong time-management, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and set and achieve strategic objectives;
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage a functional client team, demonstrate excellence in organizational management, work well under pressure, and work independently and as a strong team player with hands-on customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage staff hours to client budgets to ensure profitability targets are met
  • High level of creativity and "rolled up sleeves" working style;
  • Computer proficiency; specifically, with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Willingness and ability to travel, if required (up to 10%, both international and domestic, valid passport required);
  • Willingness and availability for calls outside normal business hours, when needed, due to the global aspect of client calls and meetings.
