This position helps drive the strategic vision and management of the marketing activities for Virtual's largest client. These activities include the oversight and implementation of outbound communications, content development, and identifying new initiatives. This position works closely and collaboratively with the client's communications/marketing team to develop strategic marketing plans. In executing the strategic marketing plans, they are responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities, content development, and outbound communications align with the client's strategic objectives and key messaging points and will be distributed across multiple channels (the client website, social media channels, blogs and PR).


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop short- and long-term strategic marketing communications plans and budgets to support PCI initiatives.
  • Oversee the daily execution of marketing plans, assure adherence and evaluate performance and metrics.
  • Maintains and oversees the day-to-day activity of contractors and vendors.
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality in marketing communications operations.
  • Serve as a key contributor in the execution of action items necessary to complete client projects.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of branding, messaging and quality across channels.
  • Work with team on marketing-related business development for existing clients.
  • Supports the marketing plans for the client that ladders up to the goals and deliverables of the strategic plan and includes key messaging to support all initiatives.
  • Develops content for outbound communications to support marketing and PR initiatives as outlined in marketing plans.
  • Work in HubSpot marketing automation platform to develop workflows for all outbound email communications.
  • Analyze digital marketing efforts and make recommendations to client on strategies, best practices and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design email templates and draft/deploy email communications in HubSpot with assistance from Virtual marketing colleagues.
  • Finalize creation of Senior Leadership Team presentation PowerPoints for onsite execution.
  • Finalize logistics for external keynote speakers.
  • Work with designers to package overall event branding for event deliverables.



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field;
  • 8-10 years of experience in marketing communications; agency or association experience preferred;
  • Ability to understand technical content and be able to translate to multiple audiences of mixed backgrounds;
  • Strong creative, strategic and sales skills and "rolled up sleeves" working style;
  • Proficient in HubSpot or comparable digital email platform.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong, effective organizational, problem solving and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
  • Staff Management experience; experience leading cross-function teams a plus;
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage a team, demonstrate excellence in organizational management, work well under pressure, and work independently and as a strong team player with hands-on marketing skills;
  • Thinking outside of the box and ways to streamline everyday workflows;
  • Strong computer skills specifically in HubSpot, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Suite and CRM platform experience a plus.
