The Marketing Manager reinforces the strategic vision of marketing activities for Virtual's technology clients who are working on some of the hottest and most innovative developments. These activities include the implementation of outbound communications, content development, and identifying exciting, new initiatives. This position works closely and collaboratively with the client's communications/marketing team to develop strategic marketing plans in a fast-paced and ever-changing technology field. In executing the strategic marketing plans, they are responsible for ensuring that all marketing activities, content development, and outbound communications align with the client's strategic objectives and key messaging points and will be distributed across multiple channels (the client website, social media channels, blogs and PR).


  • Develop a strategic marketing communications plan to support client initiatives.
  • Assure adherence and evaluate performance and metrics.
  • Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality in marketing communications operations.
  • Serve as a key contributor in the execution of action items necessary to complete client projects.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of branding, messaging and quality across channels.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on marketing communications activities.
  • Develop marketing plans for the client that ladders up to the goals and deliverables of the strategic plan and includes key messaging to support all initiatives.
  • Develop content for outbound communications to support marketing and PR initiatives as outlined in marketing plans.
  • Oversee distribution across multiple channels, including social media, the client's website, email marketing, and others.
  • Work with a designer to develop overall event branding to maximize engagement and oversee distribution across multiple channels.



  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field required
  • 5-7 years of professional experience demonstrating strong ability to write and communicate concisely with respect to verbal and written communication to internal and external clients.
  • Background in technology or association management. Agency background is a plus.
  • Ability to understand technical content and be able to translate to multiple audiences of mixed backgrounds
  • High level of creativity and "rolled up sleeves" working style
  • Flexibility to work independently and as a team player
